Contractor sub PerformCrete used pneumatic 3 headed scarifying/roughening tool in order to roughen the existing concrete saw cut faces at the Steels Ave – stage 2B for the overhang and ballast wall surfaces. This tool provided better results and lesser time consuming compared to push hammers.
Contractor crew used double containment trays with geo-membrane/ filter cloth at Steeles Ave Stage 2B to control coring milky water at the overhang of the bridge. No direction required at this time. Inspection at normal levels.
